How Often Should You Be Talking With Your Clients?

How often should you be talking with your clients, whether they are in the buying process or they are past clients?

Ryan Haley and Steven Diaz of the Haley Group provide advice for real estate agents when it comes to communicating with their clients.

We’ve actually asked past clients how often they would like to be contacted in a way that they do not find it an annoyance but find it valuable to them.

Of the people surveyed, 11% said they don’t want to be contacted. What’s amazing was that almost 70% of people asked said they were fine being contacted at least once a week. Forty percent of those who wish to be contacted said they want to be contacted more than once a week. This just says that they want to hear from us.

Get rid of the thought that you haven’t talked to your client for maybe a year. Your clients want to hear from you, and they want to know what’s going on in the market. They might also want to know how much their property is worth now because they probably bought years ago, and all they hear is how much equity they have.

The bad thing about not contacting your clients is that if they’re not hearing from you, someone else will be talking to them.
