How to Use Your Sphere of Influence to Succeed Right Away

When you start your career as a real estate agent, how do you use your sphere of influence to start your path to success? 

Ryan Haley, broker and owner of Atlantic Shores Sotheby’s International Realty, offers this great tip to a starting agent looking for success. 

As a new real estate agent, you would be excited—as most agents would be—to tell everyone that you are now in real estate.

One action you can do is come up with a list of people with whom you want to share the news. Then, notify them via text messages, phone calls, through social media, and email. To make it more special, do handwritten notes, which are a classic way of letting people know that you are now in business, and you are there to help serve their needs. 

Ryan finds that a lot of real estate agents, if this action is done right and quickly, will be able to get one or two transactions from this.

Remember that these people—within your sphere of influence—like you and trust you. They know you and would like to support you. This is the first thing that you should do as soon as you get into business. Make it a challenge to make a list of at least 100 people who have, in one or another, influenced you and whom you can help moving forward.
