One Huge Advantage of Selling in the Fall

Around this time, people are busy preparing for the holidays, so what makes it great to sell your property in the fall?

Steven Diaz, Sales Manager at Atlantic Shores Sotheby’s International Realty, explains one big advantage of listing your property in the fall.

During the fall season, sellers can expect to have less competition as fewer people are usually listing their properties this time of the year.

The primary reason for not listing? Many sellers are thinking they don’t want to do the listing and getting the house ready for pictures during the busy time of the year, preparing for that big Thanksgiving event, Christmas, and other holidays during this time.

In short, a lot of sellers are not up to the task of getting the property ready for listing while also dealing with preparations for the holidays. Thus, there will be fewer people listing. However, there are still buyers out there.

There’s an inventory shortage across the nation, and from what we’re seeing, this is not going to change any time soon.

Just because this may not be the hottest time of the year to sell your vacation home, there are stats to think about. In the summer, if you sell your house, it would be 1 out of 1,000 listings. But if you list in the fall, you are 1 out of 1,000.

Remember that it only takes ONE person, one right person to come to your house, see it, and fall in love with it, and then, you get a contract.

The fall is a great time to sell because of less competition. So, if you are planning to sell, this is an opportunity to grab.
