Rock Your Social Strategy

In the real estate industry and wondering how to better improve your time with social media? Checkout some tips to help you improve!

As we all plan to enter our busiest season, which is spring, we are likely looking for ways to simplify our marketing so we can stay present. The “set it and forget it” strategy can work very well when it comes to social media, but you need to have a plan for it to be successful. Here are three concepts to rock it and keep it working for you all year.

Before it gets busy, plan your marketing strategy for congruence by creating a content calendar. This can be as simple or complex as you design it and can be quarterly or annually. A strategy we like is choosing a different monthly theme and planning marketing that correlates.

For example, a summer theme could mean that you post articles about landscaping, planning for vacations, and outdoor fun. Make sure your themes cover the main points of buying and selling you want to cover over the course of the year that keep you relevant and in front of your potential clients.

Several social media management tools are available that allow you to schedule out your posts on several platforms all at once. Some offer the benefit of adding team members to manage the accounts as well, and prices vary from free to under $100/month.

This means you can block a chunk of time once a month and schedule out your posts, having confidence you’ll still show up on social without worrying about manually posting every day. Click here to read an article on Forbes about 15 automation tools.

When scheduling posts, it can be easy to forget to check your social media, especially when you are busy. Set up your profiles to alert you whenever you are tagged or messaged so you don’t have to continually check profiles. This way, you are still alerted when you are directly contacted to provide a quick response. Turn off any unneeded alerts so you aren’t being driven bonkers by endless chimes, especially when you are with a client or potential customer.
