Did you know that clients will decide if they want to work with you as a real estate agent before they even meet you?
Ryan Haley and Steven Diaz of Atlantic Shores Sotheby’s International Realty discuss why it’s important for real estate agents to work on their online presence.
As a real estate agent, your goal is to become a trusted realtor, a trusted source of information, and not just someone selling properties. You want to be an expert in your area and gain the trust of current clients and potential clients.
It has been found that 62 percent of consumers decide if they want to work with someone before even them.
How does this happen?
The online space plays a huge role. Consumers nowadays want to know what to expect. They search Google, Amazon, and review sites. Anyone wanting information about a restaurant will usually head over to Yelp or Google to see what they offer and how past customers rated them.
As a realtor, you need to take advantage of platforms like Google My Business, which is a great way for you to be known as a local expert, someone who knows the area.
At Atlantic Shores Sotheby’s, online presence is something that we leverage to our advantage. We found that potential clients are checking out the reviews that past clients have left for us.
Make sure to have your online presence felt, whether it be on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. You will want your clients to see what you’re up to. The goal is to build trust with your clients even before you meet them.
